Prime Minister Narendra Modi today emphasised that service must be the guiding principle of life and politics, even at the highest levels of leadership. He made these remarks during a virtual interaction with Seva Yatris travelling from Vadnagar to Varanasi.

Quoting the mantra “Seva Paramo Dharma” (Service is the highest duty), Modi said that service is the biggest driving force behind India’s progress. He highlighted flagship schemes like PM‑KISAN and PM Surya Ghar Yojana, which have transformed lives through last‑mile delivery. He noted that the spirit of service has enabled four crore poor families to receive permanent housing and lifted 25 crore citizens out of poverty.

The Prime Minister underlined that politics, elections, and governance systems are secondary to the larger mission of nation‑building. He urged citizens to advance the pivotal role of youth in building a developed India by 2047, stressing that today’s generation is both the architect and beneficiary of a stronger nation.

During the interaction, Seva Yatris shared experiences of planting saplings, conducting cleanliness drives, and engaging with communities, receiving positive feedback on government schemes. Modi praised their dedication, calling service the foundation of India’s future.
