The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the role of Translation Reviewers, offering professionals an opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and quality of high-stakes national examinations. The initiative focuses on improving the reliability of AI-assisted translations used in examination question papers.

According to the application announcement, selected reviewers will be responsible for examining machine-translated examination content and ensuring that it accurately conveys the meaning of the original text. The role requires attention to linguistic clarity, subject-specific terminology and the overall quality of translated material.

The initiative covers 13 Indian languages and 15 subject domains, providing opportunities for individuals with strong language skills and relevant subject knowledge to participate in the examination-review process.

As part of their responsibilities, Translation Reviewers will assess translated question papers, identify linguistic or contextual errors, suggest appropriate corrections and verify that the final content maintains the intended meaning. They will also be involved in quality assurance and the validation of examination material.

The initiative highlights the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in the preparation of multilingual educational assessments. While AI-assisted translation can support the delivery of examination content in multiple languages, human review remains important for maintaining accuracy, consistency and clarity.
