The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked affiliated schools to ensure that student information submitted during the examination registration process is accurate and up to date.

In a communication to school principals and heads, the board flagged repeated errors in students’ personal details and information about subjects chosen for the upcoming examinations. CBSE said that despite earlier reminders, some schools have continued to submit incorrect or incomplete information.

According to the board, such errors can affect the pre-examination process and create difficulties in maintaining examination timelines. In some cases, schools have also failed to submit the required student details within the specified timeframe, contributing to avoidable delays and operational challenges.

The board has asked schools to prepare accurate and updated student records before submitting registration information and the List of Candidates (LOC).

The LOC is an important part of the CBSE examination process as it contains details of students who are expected to appear for the board examinations. Any discrepancy in personal information or subjects can create problems later in the examination cycle.

CBSE has therefore urged school authorities to carefully verify student data and subject selections before submission. Schools have also been advised to complete the required processes within the prescribed timelines.

The board's latest communication is aimed at reducing errors and ensuring smoother coordination as preparations for the next CBSE board examinations progress.
