Actor Jackky Bhagnani recently gave followers a look at the meals he eats during the week, sharing a variety of dishes including chicken, paneer, dosa, vegetables and pulao.

His meals featured stuffed chicken with pesto sauce, paneer sizzler, chicken fajri with sautéed vegetables, neer dosa with chicken curry and vegetables, yakhni pulao with raita, and dosa with chicken porial.

Bhagnani described his approach to food as being about balance, nourishment and consistency. However, whether a diet is balanced depends on the overall combination of foods and nutrients consumed regularly, rather than individual dishes alone.

A balanced meal generally combines a source of protein with vegetables or fruits, whole grains or other carbohydrate sources, and an appropriate amount of healthy fats. Protein can come from foods such as chicken, paneer, eggs, pulses or other plant-based sources.

Bhagnani’s shared meals contain several protein-rich foods, including chicken and paneer. Some meals also include vegetables and fermented dairy such as raita.

However, a diet can still benefit from greater variety. Depending on an individual's nutritional needs, meals may need to include more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds to provide a broader range of fibre, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

Portion sizes and preparation methods also matter. Dishes such as pulao, dosa or paneer-based meals can fit into a balanced eating pattern, but their nutritional value depends on ingredients, cooking methods and what accompanies them.

Ultimately, there is no single celebrity meal plan that works for everyone. A balanced diet should be tailored to an individual's age, activity level, health needs and dietary preferences.
