India strongly criticised Pakistan’s “falsehoods and deceit” at the UN General Assembly (UNGA), warning that Islamabad’s continued support for terrorism will carry consequences.
India exercised its Right of Reply after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif credited U.S. President Donald Trump for a “timely intervention” in the 2025 conflict and raised the Kashmir issue.
Responding sharply, Indian diplomat Ms. Gahlot declared that the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is an integral and inalienable part of India, rejecting Pakistan’s claims as baseless propaganda. She described Pakistan as a “puppet regime” that thrives on spreading lies while sheltering terrorists.
India’s statement emphasised that terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances and warned that Pakistan’s actions will have serious consequences for regional peace and stability.
The exchange reflects the deep diplomatic rift between the two neighbours, with Pakistan continuing to internationalise the Kashmir issue while India asserts sovereignty and counters with accusations of cross‑border terrorism.
