Hanuman Ansh has continued its theatrical journey despite opening on a limited number of screens and facing competition from major releases such as Toxic and Awarapan 2.

Co-producer Ragini Sona has revealed that the Vishal Chaturvedi directorial was at one point close to being removed from theatres as its screen count fell sharply.

According to Sona, the team decided to continue fighting for theatrical space rather than give up. While director Vishal Chaturvedi was travelling with the team to promote the film, the producers were simultaneously working to retain its shows.

Sona recalled that the film was “almost out of theatres” before the team made a late-night decision to continue its run. She said the team remained committed to taking the film directly to audiences despite the difficult circumstances.

The producer also highlighted the importance of the audience response in keeping Hanuman Ansh alive in theatres. Despite its limited release and competition from larger films, the movie has managed to maintain its theatrical presence.

The film’s journey has become one of the notable developments at the box office this year, particularly given its modest screen availability at release.
