Karthik Subbaraj’s Dorothy, starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead role, has entered its second week at the box office with its North American run crossing the $180,000 mark. The film, which released on September 25, has generated attention for its bold subject matter and discussions surrounding its content.

In India, Dorothy collected ₹6.08 crore net during its first seven days. On its second Friday, the film added around ₹78 lakh, taking its eight-day net collection to ₹6.86 crore. Its corresponding gross collection stood at approximately ₹8.09 crore.

The film recorded the additional collection despite a reduction in its show count across India. On the second Friday, Dorothy was screened in around 280 shows, compared with more than 500 shows during its opening week.

The October 2 national holiday appears to have provided some support to the film’s second Friday performance. However, the reduction in screenings means the film’s upcoming collections will also depend on how effectively it retains shows in its second week.

With its North American earnings crossing $180,000 and its domestic total nearing ₹7 crore net, Dorothy continues its theatrical run in multiple markets.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the Tamil film features Keerthy Suresh in the titular role and has remained a topic of discussion since its theatrical release.
