Akshay Kumar’s latest comedy Welcome To The Jungle recorded a strong jump at the box office on its first Sunday, taking its three-day total to Rs 63.75 crore.

The film, which released in cinemas on June 26, opened with around Rs 15.25 crore on Day 1. Collections improved to Rs 20 crore on Saturday before rising further to Rs 24.75 crore on Sunday.

Including paid previews of Rs 3.75 crore, the film has generated a total of Rs 63.75 crore so far.

The Sunday performance represented a significant increase over the opening day, giving the comedy a stronger start over its first weekend. The film arrived with considerable attention because of the popularity of the Welcome franchise and its large ensemble cast featuring more than 30 actors.

Akshay Kumar has been at the centre of the film, with audience reactions highlighting his comic performance. While reviews and audience responses have been mixed, several viewers have praised the film for its ensemble comedy and theatrical entertainment.
