The cult favourite Khosla Ka Ghosla is returning to theatres with its sequel, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, scheduled for release on August 28, 2026.

Directed by Prashant Bhagia and produced by T-Series Films and Tandav Films, the sequel brings the Khosla family back for another story involving new complications, surprises and family-driven humour.

The film’s release date has placed it alongside several other highly anticipated titles, including Yash’s Toxic and Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha. Sidharth Malhotra’s Vvan is also mentioned among the films releasing around the same period.

Speaking about the crowded release weekend, actor Parvinn Dabas said some shooting for Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 was still pending, but the August 28 release date had not changed at the time of his comments.

Dabas acknowledged that filmmakers generally prefer to avoid competing releases but noted that multiple films often arrive in theatres around the same time. He also pointed to the loyal audience built by the original Khosla Ka Ghosla.

The original film, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, was released in 2006 and has since developed a strong cult following. Interestingly, Dabas also recalled that Rishi Kapoor was initially considered for the role that eventually went to Anupam Kher.

As Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 heads towards its theatrical release, the film will be entering a competitive weekend while carrying the expectations associated with a much-loved original.
