A White House dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump for Chinese President Xi Jinping brought more than 130 guests together, including some of the biggest names in American technology and business.
The guest list featured Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Apple CEO Tim Cook, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Huang, Cook and AMD CEO Lisa Su were seated at the same table as Trump and Xi, according to reports, underscoring the prominent role of the technology sector at the gathering.
Executives from Qualcomm, Zoom, Dell Technologies, Micron and Boeing also attended, alongside financial leaders including JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon.
Artificial intelligence was expected to feature prominently in Trump’s discussions with Xi. The US and China continue to face tensions over advanced AI chips, access to technology and the development of AI systems.
The high-profile gathering highlighted how technology and advanced computing have become closely connected to the broader US-China relationship, with leading technology executives present alongside senior officials and business leaders.
