The makers of Love & War have unveiled the first look of Ranbir Kapoor from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period drama. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal and is scheduled to release in theatres on January 21, 2027.

In the newly released poster, Ranbir Kapoor sports a moustache and sunglasses while sitting behind the wheel of a blue car. His bloodied hand hangs outside the car door, giving the first glimpse a gritty and intense tone.

The poster offers a brief look at the actor’s character while keeping much of the film’s story under wraps. Bhansali’s period drama is expected to bring together romance, conflict and large-scale visual storytelling.

The makers shared the first-look poster on September 24, announcing the film’s theatrical release date alongside the reveal.

Love & War marks another collaboration between Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after their previous work together. The film also brings Ranbir and Alia Bhatt together on screen, with Vicky Kaushal completing the central cast.

With the first look now out, attention is likely to turn toward further details about the characters, storyline and upcoming promotional material ahead of the January 2027 theatrical release.
