India’s shooting campaign at the Asian Games 2026 received a major boost as Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh stormed into the final of the mixed team 10m air pistol event.

The duo topped qualification with a stellar score of 587, including 29 inner 10s, after consistent series of 196, 195, and 196. Their performance placed them comfortably among the top four pairs advancing to the final, keeping alive India’s last chance for a medal in the 10m air pistol discipline after a disappointing run in earlier events.

Meanwhile, in a historic moment for Indian table tennis, Manush Shah and Diya Chitale stunned world No. 4 pair Doo Hoi Kem and Wong Chun Ting of Hong Kong with a 3‑1 victory in the mixed doubles quarterfinals. The Indians won 11‑6, 13‑15, 11‑9, 11‑5 to secure India’s first‑ever table tennis medal at the Asian Games. The duo will now face China’s formidable Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin in the semifinals.

With shooting and table tennis delivering breakthroughs, India’s medal hopes remain strong across multiple disciplines, adding momentum to the nation’s campaign in Nagoya.
