Veteran actor Ambika has responded to allegations made by her sister and fellow actor Radha in connection with an alleged Rs 46 crore cheque fraud case.

Radha had filed a police complaint against Ambika and their brother, Mallikarjuna Kunjan Nair, alleging that blank cheques belonging to her were taken from her home and misused in an attempt to claim a large sum of money.

Responding to the allegations, Ambika denied the claims and described them as fake and fabricated. She became emotional while speaking to the media, expressing disbelief that her sister had accused her of being a “thief”.

The dispute reportedly extends beyond the cheque allegations, with disagreements between the sisters also involving gold and ARS Garden Studio.

Ambika said the allegations had deeply affected her and sought to present her side of the dispute publicly. The matter has drawn attention because both Ambika and Radha are well-known actors with a long association with the South Indian film industry.
