The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has settled adjudication proceedings against five Adani Group entities following its examination of allegations highlighted in the Hindenburg Research report.

The proceedings involved issues relating to related-party transaction disclosures, corporate governance and possible violations of listing and disclosure requirements.

The five entities involved are Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL), AWL Agri Business Ltd, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.

Collectively, the companies paid ₹1.50 crore to settle the proceedings. The settlement was reached without the entities admitting or denying the findings of fact and conclusions of law.

SEBI's proceedings followed its examination of allegations concerning the Adani Group that were raised in the Hindenburg report, including matters related to disclosures and compliance with securities-market requirements.

The settlement relates specifically to the adjudication proceedings and does not, by itself, amount to an admission of wrongdoing by the companies.

The development comes as Adani Group companies continue to remain under regulatory and investor scrutiny over governance, disclosure and compliance matters.
