Actor and filmmaker Parvinn Dabass, known for films including Khosla Ka Ghosla, has opened up about his fitness routine, recovery from a serious accident and his approach to maintaining an active lifestyle at 52.
Dabass was involved in an accident in 2024 that left him in the ICU for three days. He subsequently spent several more days in hospital and continued recovering at home for nearly a month while dealing with the effects of a concussion.
Speaking about the experience, Dabass said his recovery has been good and that he prefers not to dwell on the accident. He recalled that even basic activities such as concentrating and walking became difficult during the recovery period.
Despite the setback, fitness remains an important part of his routine. Dabass has spoken about preferring hard training rather than focusing heavily on fitness metrics such as daily steps or calorie counts.
He also prefers working out alone, following an approach that allows him to concentrate on his training rather than treating exercise as a social activity.
His approach reflects a broader shift among some fitness-conscious adults towards focusing on regular strength and physical training rather than relying exclusively on numbers displayed by fitness trackers.
However, fitness routines need to be adapted to individual circumstances, particularly after an injury or prolonged recovery. People returning to exercise after a significant accident or concussion should follow appropriate medical guidance before increasing training intensity.
For Dabass, his experience appears to have reinforced his preference for moving forward and staying active rather than allowing his past injury to define his approach to fitness.
