External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, USA.

Jaishankar is scheduled to address the High Level Session of the UNGA on September 26, where he will present India’s perspectives on pressing global challenges. His visit coincides with the annual General Debate, which runs from September 22 to 28, bringing together world leaders at the UN headquarters.

During his stay, Jaishankar will participate in a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings, reinforcing India’s role in shaping global dialogue. The 81st session is being held under the theme: “Restoring trust, managing transformation: A United Nations that delivers for all.”

India’s participation highlights its commitment to multilateralism, global cooperation, and addressing issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and peacebuilding.
